As 2025 continues, Old School RuneScape (OSRS) players have witnessed a plethora of new content and reworked mechanics, leading to exciting opportunities for wealth accumulation. Whether you’re training a skill or diving into the wilderness, there’s something for everyone. In this guide, I’ll cover some of my favorite money-making methods introduced or reworked in 2025, including a mix of new features and content updates that make gold-making in Gielinor more dynamic than ever.
1. Sunlight Antelopes – A Fun Hunter Training Method
Added with the Vlore update, the Sunlight Antelopes offer a unique twist on Hunter training and are surprisingly profitable. While not the most efficient Hunter training method, this activity can make you around 85k OSRS gold per hour while training your skill. The key here is the convenience and low effort required to set up and get going.
Requirements:
- Teasing stick, axe, chisel, knife, and meat poaches
- Teleport to Civitas and a Bone Crusher
- 70+ Hunter
To start, you’ll need to create and pack a few essential items like meat poaches and fur poaches (which can be bought from the Grand Exchange). Once you teleport to Civitas, make your way to the hunting area. Here, you’ll trap Sunlight Antelopes using the teasing stick, and as they get trapped, you’ll harvest valuable loot: Sunlight Antelope fur, antlers, bones, and other useful items.
The beauty of this method lies in its semi-automated process. Items like antelope fur and bones are auto-stored in your pouches, and you can set traps while gathering resources from previous catches, maximizing your GP and XP per hour. On top of that, the method provides 80k Hunter XP per hour. With a bit of multitasking, you can reach 900k GP per hour, making it a great hybrid training and money-making method.
2. Double Nature Runes – RuneCrafting’s Profitable Rework
In 2025, one of the most significant updates to RuneCrafting is the reworked method of crafting double nature runes, thanks to an agility shortcut that significantly streamlines the process. This method can yield up to 3.4 million GP per hour and is incredibly efficient in terms of RuneCrafting XP (74k XP per hour).
Requirements:
- 91 RuneCrafting (for double nature rune crafting)
- 79 Agility (for access to the shortcut)
- Achievement Diary Cape for fast teleportation
The shortcut has dramatically reduced the time it takes to access the Nature Altar, allowing for a significant increase in profits. While the method requires 91 RuneCrafting to craft double natures, and 79 Agility to use the shortcut, the reward is worth the effort.
Having an Achievement Diary Cape makes this method incredibly profitable, as it allows you to teleport directly to the altar, cutting travel time dramatically. Without the cape, the process is less efficient, and profits are halved. But for those who meet the requirements, this method remains the best way to achieve 99 RuneCrafting while making serious GP.
3. Wilderness Agility Course – High Risk, High Reward
One of the newer additions to the Wilderness in 2025, the Wilderness Agility Course, offers a profitable and thrilling way to train Agility. This course is unique in that it provides high rewards but comes with the risk of PvP combat in the Wilderness. Each lap can yield 40k GP, and with high efficiency, you can make up to 2.5–3 million GP per hour.
Requirements:
- 52 Agility (for the course)
- 150k GP per lap for the entry fee
- Protect from Melee prayer and a looting bag
The challenge here is balancing agility training with the danger of being PK’d. To get started, you’ll need to pay a 150k fee at the dispenser before beginning laps. Along the way, you can earn valuable loot, including agility tickets, which can be redeemed for additional experience. You’ll need a Looting Bag to store all your items, as your inventory will quickly fill up.
Though the rewards are tempting, the wilderness is dangerous. You’ll need to stay on your toes, and I recommend bringing a three-way Mage switch, ice sacks, and bruise or bladed super restores to protect yourself from aggressive PKers. With smart play, this method can earn you 2.5 million GP per hour while also boosting your Agility skill.
4. Zombie Pirates – Wilderness Gold Mine
Another great addition to the Wilderness in 2025 is the Zombie Pirates, which have quickly become one of the best money-makers in the game. Though they were initially nerfed after their release, they remain incredibly profitable, especially for those with decent Range levels and the Protect from Magic prayer.
Requirements:
- Range and Protect from Magic
- Medium Wilderness Diary for full loot potential
- Cannon or Vader Bow for fast kills
The Zombie Pirates are a low-requirement money maker that can yield up to 2 million GP per hour. The key is using a cannon to maximize your kills per hour. Although there are potential PvP threats in the area, you’ll spend most of your time picking up loot rather than fighting. Your inventory will fill up fast with cannonballs, pirate loot, and other valuable items, and even if you die, it’s not a huge loss due to the frequent banking.
While this method is lucrative, keep your cannon safe to avoid losing it to a PKer. Still, Zombie Pirates remain a go-to money-making method for efficient training and profit with OSRS Accounts.
5. The Coliseum – Elite PvM for Big Rewards
The Coliseum has remained one of the most profitable PvM methods in OSRS in 2025. While its release earlier in the year was met with mixed reactions, its profitability has sustained, especially for those with the gear and skills to take on the hardest waves.
Requirements:
- High combat stats (90+ recommended)
- Specific weapons like the Scythe or Fang for higher efficiency
At the lower end, completing just the first wave of the Coliseum repeatedly can earn you around 2 million GP per hour, especially with the value of Sunfire splinters. But with high-level gear and perfect efficiency, the method scales up dramatically, earning you up to 15–16 million GP per hour. This makes it one of the highest-earning methods in the game, and it’s particularly appealing for those who enjoy high-end PvM content.
6. Moon’s Apparel – A New Barrows Alternative
The Moon’s Apparel content, also introduced this year, offers another money-making opportunity similar to Barrows but with a higher reward potential. The Blood Moon tassets and chestplates can sell for upwards of 10 million GP each, making this a lucrative new method.
Requirements:
- Mid-70 combat stats
- Specific gear based on the bosses
While this content is a bit harder than Barrows, it offers double the reward potential. The dungeon has a variety of valuable drops, and unlike Barrows, you can earn good experience rates while making money. With kills per hour reaching about 2 million GP, this method is a solid choice for mid-level accounts seeking both experience and profit.
Conclusion
2025 has been a year of innovation and rework in OSRS, bringing exciting new ways to make money and train skills. From Sunlight Antelopes to Zombie Pirates, the game has introduced a diverse set of methods that cater to different playstyles. Whether you enjoy training or PvM, there’s a money-making method suited for your preferences.
