OSRS Guide: Training Three Skills and Making Money Simultaneously in Prifddinas

Anyone who has played Old School RuneScape (OSRS) for a while knows a crucial fact: the faster you gain experience in a skill, the more it tends to cost you. Conversely, if you want to make OSRS Gold while training a skill, the experience rates are usually abysmal. But what if you could combine money-making methods with some of the best skilling techniques or even combine two skills? Imagine profitable, fast experience or double experience by training two skills at once—all without relying on tech manipulation.

Every week, I’ll be combining either two skills or a skill and a money-maker to make high experience skilling profitable again or to speed up the skilling process. In this episode, we will train three skills at once while making money at the same time, all without tech manipulation.

The Method Overview

This method requires access to Prifddinas, a high-level area in OSRS that becomes available after completing the Song of the Elves quest. While the quest has high requirements and a lengthy quest chain, the rewards are worth it. Prifddinas offers access to numerous training methods, including the Zalcano, the Gauntlet, and a unique method that trains three skills simultaneously while also generating profit.

Requirements

Before diving into the method, you need to ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • Magic: Level 55
  • Hunter: Level 77 (or 80 if not using a Hunter potion)
  • Crafting: Level 54
  • Initial Investment: At least 200,000 GP
  • Tools: A butterfly net and at least 10 Impling jars
  • Magic Gear: A staff that provides unlimited fire runes (e.g., Staff of Fire)
  • Supplies: A large number of the highest-level orbs you can attach to a battle staff, and an equal number of Nature runes
  • Optional: Weight-reducing clothing (not mandatory but helpful)

Preparing for the Method

To execute this method effectively, you’ll need around 500 orbs and an equal number of Nature runes for every hour you plan to train. Start by equipping your staff and wearing any weight-reducing clothing you have. In your inventory, keep your Nature runes, GP, butterfly net, at least one Impling jar, and fill the remaining spaces with orbs.

How the Method Works

This method combines three skills—Magic, Crafting, and Hunter—while generating profit. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Start in Prifddinas: Begin your training at Eluned’s shop on the west side of Prifddinas. Here, you can purchase battlestaves for 7k GP each, which is over 600 GP cheaper than their Grand Exchange price. Each world offers a stock of 5 battlestaves, so you’ll need to world-hop to maximize your profit.
  2. Attaching Orbs to Battlestaves: Attach the orbs to the battlestaves, gaining Crafting experience. This step is crucial as it provides consistent Crafting XP and sets you up for the next part of the method.
  3. High Alchemy: Use High Alchemy on the enchanted battlestaves to earn Magic experience and profit. Since you’re buying the battlestaves at a lower cost, you’ll make a profit from alching them, which adds up over time.
  4. Catching Crystal Implings: While you’re hopping worlds or running between the shop and the bank, keep an eye out for Crystal Implings. These implings are worth around 76k GP each, including the Crystal shards they drop. Catching them will give you additional profit and a Hunter experience. If you’re between levels 77-79 Hunter, use a Hunter potion to boost your level to 80, which is the required level to catch Crystal Implings.

The Process in Detail

Step 1: Purchasing Battlestaves

  • Start by purchasing five battlestaves from Eluned’s shop.
  • After buying, attach the orbs to the battlestaves to gain Crafting XP.
  • World-hop and repeat until your inventory is full.

Step 2: High Alchemy

  • Once your inventory is full, use High Alchemy on the enchanted battlestaves to gain Magic XP and make a profit.
  • Keep an eye out for Crystal Implings as you world-hop. When you spot one, switch to your butterfly net and catch it to add to your profit.

Step 3: Banking

  • When you’ve used up all your orbs, don’t immediately return to the bank. Instead, fill your inventory with more battlestaves from Eluned’s shop before heading to the bank. This way, you minimize the number of bank trips, effectively doubling the number of battlestaves you can process in one trip.

Step 4: Rinse and Repeat

  • Bank your Crystal Implings and battlestaves, withdraw more orbs and Nature runes, and repeat the process for as long as you wish.

Profit and Experience Rates

I tested this method using 100 orbs, which took about 30 minutes and 40 seconds. During this time, I managed to catch two Crystal Implings, which I expect to be an average rate. However, keep in mind that impling spawns can vary—you may go through periods where you catch several in quick succession or none at all for a while.

Here’s a breakdown of my results:

  • Crystal Implings: 152k GP
  • Battlestaves Profit: 32k GP

This equates to 808k GP profit per hour.

In terms of experience:

  • Crafting XP: 61,000 XP
  • Magic XP: 31,000 XP
  • Hunter XP: 3,000 XP

That’s over 1 million XP and 10 million GP profit each day if you consistently use this method.

Why This Method is Effective

This method is unique because it combines three skilling methods into one, making it incredibly efficient for players looking to maximize both experience and profit. Not only are you training three different skills at once, but you’re also making a solid profit without relying on complex game mechanics or tech manipulation. The combination of high Crafting XP, decent Magic XP, and passive Hunter XP, alongside the potential for significant profits, makes this method highly effective for players at all levels.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a skilling method in OSRS that doesn’t just focus on one skill or one way of making money, this method is perfect for you. By combining multiple skills and a money-maker, you can maximize your experience gains while still earning a profit. Plus, this method is flexible—you can adapt it based on your current levels, available resources, and goals.

Lunar Diplomacy OSRS: A Comprehensive Quest Guide

Lunar Diplomacy is a crucial quest in OSRS that revolves around resolving a conflict between the Fremennik and the Moon Clan. Completing this quest not only grants valuable OSRS Gold rewards but also unlocks access to the Astral Altar and the Lunar Spellbook. This guide will walk you through the entire quest, providing step-by-step instructions to ensure your success.

To begin your Lunar Diplomacy journey, head to the western deck of Rellekka and seek out Lokar Searunner. Engage in conversation with him to learn about his fascinating life experiences. Afterward, make your way to Rellekka’s largest building and obtain a Seal of Passage from Brundt the Chieftain.

Once you have the seal, return to Lokar Searunner. He will guide you to the Pirates Cove, where you’ll climb a ladder and board a ship. Speak to Captain Bentley and inform him that Lokar recommended you for a voyage to the Moon Clan island. The captain will agree to take you there.

However, the journey takes an unexpected turn when the ship starts spinning in circles and eventually comes to a halt. Captain Bentley asks for your help in investigating the situation, leading you to navigator Jack. Despite Jack’s denial of any wrongdoing, you suspect he took the wrong course. Convey your suspicions to the captain, who entertains the idea of a jinx. This prompts you to seek advice from eagle-eyed Shultz, who suggests identifying and dealing with those responsible for the jinx.

Explore the ship to uncover more clues. Speak with Beefy Burns on the lowest deck to inquire about the feasts. As you ascend to the top deck, engage in a conversation with first mate Devey boy, asking about his Lunar Isle feast experience.

Continuing your investigation, approach the cabin boy on the top deck and inquire about his association with the Moon Clan. He confesses to being their spy and provides you with a special lantern and lens. Your next task is to light the lantern, locate five symbols on the ship, and erase them.

After eradicating the symbols, return to Captain Bentley and inform him that the ship is ready to sail to the Moon Clan island. The captain will navigate swiftly, and you will arrive at your destination.

Upon reaching the Moon Clan island, make your way to Lunar town and introduce yourself to Oneiromancer. She reveals that, in order to achieve a peaceful resolution, you must learn the ways of their magic. To do this, you need to acquire a waking sleep potion, a lunar staff, and ceremonial travel clothes.

Your quest for knowledge leads you to Baba Yaga’s house, where you will learn to concoct the waking sleep potion. Armed with an empty vial, gather the required ingredients and even slay two monsters to obtain a tooth for the potion.

With the potion prepared, return to Oneiromancer, who then tasks you with creating a Lunar staff. Combine your dramen staff with altars for air, fire, water, and earth to craft this essential item.

The journey for ceremonial clothes takes you to various individuals. Meteora requires a tiara in exchange for an amulet, Selena sends you on a quest to find a ring hidden among blue flowers, and Pauline Polaris challenges you to guess her name before giving you a cape.Lastly, Rimae, the owner of a clothing shop, will provide you with ceremonial clothes in exchange for hides from squash monsters. Once you have obtained all the required items, craft your ceremonial lunar clothes.

To further prepare for the quest, venture north and descend into a mine. Dig stalagmites to find the coveted lunar ore. Teleport to Rellekka city and transform the lunar ore into bars at an anvil. Shape the bars into a lunar helm.

Return to Lunar Island and present your lunar clothes to Oneiromancer. In gratitude, she offers you extra kindling. Don your lunar attire and light the brazier in the largest building in town.

Your adventure takes an ethereal twist as you enter the dream world. Here, you will meet the Ethereal Man, who will introduce you to a series of tests.

First, race against the Ethereal expert, clearing hurdles and winning the race.
Next, tackle the numerical sequence challenge, solving the pattern.
Move on to the Ethereal mimic, successfully imitating his moves.
Face the Ethereal Fluke and roll dice to match a given number.
Traverse small platforms to reach the opposite side, passing another test.
Engage in the woodcutting test, chopping dream trees and depositing the strange log at the center of the cloud.
Share your newfound knowledge with the Ethereal Man, who will then teleport you for a final showdown with Me. Defeat Me and read the life book to exit the dream world.

Upon completing the tests, return to Lunar Island and share the insights gained from your experiences with Oneiromancer. This marks the end of your Lunar Diplomacy quest, and you will be rewarded generously for your efforts.

The rewards include:

5,000 Magic XP
5,000 Runecrafting XP
Access to the Astral Altar
Access to the Lunar Spellbook
2 Quest Points
50 Astral Runes

Congratulations on successfully completing the Lunar Diplomacy quest! Enjoy your newfound magical abilities and make the most of the rewards you have earned.
